TIMBER.

Wood is an excellent natural product: beautiful to look at, easy to work with, renewable, recyclable, carbon saving, low energy consumption and high performance.

Our
Target group

As a trading company in the classic B2B sector, we mainly serve the wood processing industry and the timber trade. The assortment includes especially sawn timber in all commercial dimensions and qualities. Nationally and internationally, we move thousands of m³ of sawn timber annually by wagon, ship, container and truck. At this we focus primarily on Siberian larch, Nordic pine and Nordic spruce.

Nordic
SPRUCE. (lat. Picea abies)

Spruce wood from Scandinavia, Russia and the Baltic States is called Nordic spruce. It is one of the most processed wood species, it belongs to conifers and its coloration is white to yellowish-white or yellowish-brown due to darkening, heartwood and sapwood do not differ in color. Nordic spruce in particular is characterized by a narrower growth habit and an even small branch pattern.

As the main industrial wood spruce has medium density and is easy to process. Due to the special climate in Scandinavia and northern Russia, this wood has a finer annual ring structure and thus better density and strength.

Nordic
PINE. (lat. Pinus sylvestris)

Pine is used in large parts of Europe and Asia and belongs to the conifers. It is fast-growing and comparatively undemanding. Heartwood and sapwood differ very clearly in color. The heartwood is reddish-yellow and darkens to reddish-brown. The sapwood on the other hand, is yellowish-white to reddish-white. Pine wood from Scandinavia, Finland and Russia is called Nordic pine.

Due to the cool climate in Scandinavia, Nordic pine is characterized by a homogeneous, small and relatively healthy knot pattern and is therefore easy to process and achieves a sensational yield.

Siberian
LARCH. (lat. Larix sibirica)

Siberian larch accounts for about 15% of the total larch forests. It is mainly found in Mongolia and Russia. Among conifers, it is one of the heaviest and hardest species, the wood has a comparatively high bulk density. Siberian larch has a reddish-brown heartwood and differs from the light sapwood. It is characterized by narrow growth and high resin content, which makes the Siberian larch very resistant to weathering. It is mainly used as construction and furniture wood, but hardly ever as firewood.

Above all, the Siberian larch – due to the long and very cold winters and the associated short vegetation period – is characterized by a high natural durability.
Siberian larch can be used for many applications – including exterior – without further chemical wood preservation.
